ABOUT ME

I am Louise, originally from Australia and a Londoner since 2011. Creating order in everyday aspects of my life has always been something that I have enjoyed doing and makes me feel calm. My friends regularly ask me to help them to organise different areas of their homes, especially after a move, renovation or a rearrange of furniture. Turns out the excitement and satisfaction that I get from these tasks is not shared by everyone! It is through doing this that I recognised the skill I have for decluttering and organising, so took a course to extend my knowledge. The Organised Aussie began in early 2021 and I haven't looked back since.

In my 14 years working as a Primary Educator, I have experienced the huge benefits of having an organised space, especially when it is used by multiple people. I am able to think about the flow and use of a space and how to best use each part.

Renting in London, I know first hand the need to fit your belongings in some weird and wonderful spaces. Experience doing this for myself, my housemates and friends, I have a wealth of creative space use to draw on that you can benefit from.

My experience before setting up this business is thanks to my wonderful and encouraging friends who have let me tidy and declutter areas in their homes over the last few years. I have helped them with areas including kitchen cupboards, children's bedrooms, media storage, linen cupboards, lofts and they reguarly ask for my input when they are reorganising a space or have something new to fit in.

With a commitment to an environmentally friendly lifestyle, I believe it is important to not only know what we have, but also to make the most of what we have. By decluttering and reorganising your spaces, it is possible to do this. I will never force you to throw away anything, but I will challenge you to think about the usefulness of some of the things we sort through. If you do decide to part with any items, I have a list of charities that you could support.

I love to find systems that help to make life easier and less stressful. Sometimes a change to how or where you store things can make the difference you do not know you need. I will provide practical help and support to help you achieve your project goals.

My personal and judgement free approach is something that I feel is so important when helping others to declutter. Letting someone into your home to help you sort through 'that' room and making decisions about the items that you own can be daunting, and I am here to guide you through that process.

My availability is often limited to weekends and school breaks as I still have the pleasure of helping to develop young minds in my work in a primary school. Please get in touch to see how I can support you achieve your organising goals.

I am a verified member of APDO, the UK's membership assiciation for decluttering and organising professionals. APDO sets standards, provides professional development and supports the growth of the industry.
